Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Slice peeled russet potatoes to about 1/8 inch thick.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in heavy cream, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Layer half the potato slices in the baking dish, pour half the cream mixture over them, and sprinkle with half the cheese. Repeat layers ending with cheese on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
