  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 French rolls
  • 6 slices provolone cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper. Sear in a hot skillet for 3 minutes on each side until browned.
  2. Sauté sliced onions and minced garlic in the same skillet until softened, about 4 minutes. Transfer to the slow cooker.
  3. Place the seared roast on top of the onions; pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
