Ingredients
- 2 cups penne pasta (uncooked)
- 2 cups pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cooked pepperoni or sausage
- 1 cup chopped bell peppers
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly coat a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the penne pasta until al dente (about 7-9 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, pizza sauce, half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, meats, vegetables, and half of the Italian seasoning. Mix well.
- Layer half of the pasta mixture in the baking dish; sprinkle with some cheese, then add the remaining pasta on top. Finish with the rest of the cheese blend.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares or scooping servings onto plates.
