- 1 lb lump crab meat
- 5 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink (about 2 minutes per side). Gently fold in crab meat and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt remaining butter, whisk in flour to form a roux, cooking until golden (about 1 minute).
- Gradually whisk in heavy cream until smooth; simmer until thickened (about 3 minutes). Stir in half of the cheddar cheese until melted.
- Combine the seafood mixture with the creamy sauce, then pour into a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar and panko breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve warm.
