  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Rinse wild rice under cold water. In a pot, combine with vegetable broth, bring to boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes until tender.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sliced sausage until browned on both sides (about 5 minutes).

  4. Once wild rice is cooked, add it to the skillet along with thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. Allow everything to cook together on low heat for an additional 5 minutes before serving hot.
