Instructions
How to Make Brazilian Passionfruit Mousse Cups
Prepare Passion Fruit Pulp by cutting open fresh passion fruits and scooping out the pulp, or measure out passion fruit concentrate.
Combine the prepared passion fruit pulp, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream in a mixing bowl.
Beat the mixture on medium speed for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened and smooth.
Taste the mixture and adjust by adding more passion fruit pulp or sugar if needed.
Pour the mousse into individual serving bowls or glasses and smooth the tops.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, ideally 3-4 hours for best flavor and texture.
Optional: Make Passion Fruit Syrup by simmering reserved pulp with sugar for 5-10 minutes until thickened, then let it cool.
Serve the mousse garnished with optional syrup, passion fruit seeds, and fresh mint leaves just before serving.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream. Add garnishes right before serving for freshness.
