Instructions

How to Make Brazilian Passionfruit Mousse Cups

  • Prepare Passion Fruit Pulp by cutting open fresh passion fruits and scooping out the pulp, or measure out passion fruit concentrate.
  • Combine the prepared passion fruit pulp, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream in a mixing bowl.
  • Beat the mixture on medium speed for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened and smooth.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust by adding more passion fruit pulp or sugar if needed.
  • Pour the mousse into individual serving bowls or glasses and smooth the tops.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, ideally 3-4 hours for best flavor and texture.
  • Optional: Make Passion Fruit Syrup by simmering reserved pulp with sugar for 5-10 minutes until thickened, then let it cool.
  • Serve the mousse garnished with optional syrup, passion fruit seeds, and fresh mint leaves just before serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream. Add garnishes right before serving for freshness.
