Ingredients

  • 1 cup Coconut Milk Use full-fat canned and warm before mixing.

For the Mango Layer

  • 2 medium Fresh Ripe Mangoes Choose sweet, juicy mangoes.

For Garnish (Optional)

  • 1/4 cup Toasted Coconut Flakes For added texture.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Soak the rice for 6-8 hours or overnight.
  • Steam the rice for about 25-30 minutes until tender and sticky.
  • Prepare the coconut sauce with coconut milk, salt, and sugar.
  • Mix the steamed rice with the coconut sauce and let it sit for 30 minutes.
  • Assemble the jars by layering the coconut rice and mango slices.
  • Garnish with toasted coconut flakes or mung beans before serving.
